Window Tinting

Benefits of J7 window film installation... why tint?

Enhances Looks
If you want to enhance the looks of your car the 1st thing you will need to do is tint the windows. Automotive window tinting enhances the aesthetic appeal and provides a uniform appearance to your vehicle. You've invested a lot in your vehicle, now give it the finishing touch.

Reduces Sun Glare & Driver Fatigue
Ever had a hard time driving with the sun in your eyes? Nothing is worse than dangerous glare. Window tint reduces glare and gives you a cleaner more comfortable view of the road ahead.

Reduces Interior Fading
The combination of solar heat and UV rays can cause interior trim, upholstery and carpeting to fade. Because window tinting rejects a significant amount of solar energy and almost 100% of ultraviolet rays, you can slow down your vehicles aging process. Plastic trim parts are less likely to crack and fabrics aren't as quick to fade... keeping your vehicle looking new, longer. Look into our paint protection films as well for the ultimate protection of your vehicles exterior finish from rocks and road debris.

Blocks UV Rays
Our automotive window films reject 99% of the sun;s invisible ultraviolet radiation, the principle cause of cancer and premature skin aging.

Increases Safety
Automotive glass is tempered, which means, if it is broken, the glass breaks into hundreds of little pieces. Automotive window film will hold these shards of glass together and lessens the possibility of human injury and interior damage if you are in an accident.

Increases Comfort
Our automotive window films reject up to 68% of the sun's heat, reducing the interior temperature in your vehicle. Automotive window tinting will help your vehicle cool more rapidly, even after hours in the blazing sun.

Reduces AC Cost
Automotive window films can save money reducing up to 68% of the sun's heat, so your air conditioner won't have to work as hard. You'll save fuel and help extend the life of the air conditioning system.

Bubbling, cracking, and dirty tint is NOT a problem. We guarantee 100% of our work and we back it with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own your vehicle. Don't get fooled by inexperienced installers.

Q and A about window tint.

How long does it take to have tint installed on my vehicle?
The installation process generally takes 2-6 hours depending on the difficulty of the car, cleanliness, and the number of windows. Window tinting is not a race, and we take our time to insure a quality install. Our installers have many years of experience and we offer the same quality of work to each and every customer.

Anything I need to do to prepare my car for my tinting appointment?
We clean all windows inside and out, there is no need for you to do that. One thing that helps us out greatly is if you could remove any extra items such as Child safety seats, book bags, clothing, wrappers, etc. The more stuff in our way, the longer it will take us to remove it from your vehicle which is time taken away from us starting on your vehicle.

Does tinting go on the inside or outside?
Window tinting goes on the inside of the windows. If you see our installers with the film on the outside of the glass they are just cutting patterns or shrinking the rear window film.

What do I use to clean my tinted windows?
do not use any ammonia based products like Windex. We use and suggest using a window film safe cleaner (sold at our shop) but soapy water and a cloth also works just fine.

How long must I wait to roll down my door windows?
We suggest keeping your windows up for about 2-3 days until the film cures.

I just got my windows tinted, they look streaky and bubbly, what's up? Every vehicle that leaves our shop looks like this. When applying our film we use water. This water gets trapped between the film and the glass and looks streaky. This is normal and usually goes away in about 3-5 days. To speed up the drying process park the vehicle in the sun, so the water can evaporate.

Will tint damage my rear defroster?
No your rear defrost will work as if there was no tint ever applied. We tint over all the defrost lines and you can use them as soon as you get your vehicle back from the install.

How durable is window tinting?
Our window film is protected by a scratch-resistant coating that can withstand everyday use and kids. The key word however is "resistant", this doesn't mean scratch PROOF. Just use care when loading and unloading larger objects or things that have sharp edges. Use caution when taking off your seatbelt and jewelry, these are common items that can nick and gouge your window film. Those are some of the most common issues we see that are not covered in the warranty

Can window film be removed?
Yes, window film can be removed. it is not a fun job, and quite messy. It is recommended to have a professional remove the film.

How much is tinting going to run me?
Pricing widely ranges, and is honestly based on what kind of vehicle you have. All vehicles have different tricks, number of windows and curves. Please contact us and we will get you an accurate quote!

What is Dot Matrix?
Most cars have a black ceramic "frit" edge on the rear window. Sometimes this ceramic edge is straight and flat, sometimes it will have a dotted edge. These black ceramic dots are quite thick on most cars and prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots. This results in a whitish looking area. Typically this isn't very noticeable, however some cars have a wide band of dots on the top of the rear window. This area is so wide that the whitish looking area created is more noticeable. At J7 we scrub the dot matrix to make them lay down as much as possible but unfortunately, the film will not lay down completely flat on the dot matrix.
